Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
MP3 Edit is built around a simple principle: your audio files are yours. This page explains exactly what does — and doesn't — happen with your data.
Your Files Never Leave Your Device
Every audio tool on this site — cutting, trimming, joining, splitting, converting and compressing — runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, and we never see, store or have access to them at any point.
Local Session Storage
To let you refresh the page or switch between tools without losing your work, the file you're currently editing is temporarily cached in your browser's own local storage (IndexedDB). This data stays on your device — it is never transmitted anywhere — and you can clear it at any time by removing the file from the editor or clearing your browser's site data.
Preferences
Your chosen theme (light/dark) and language are saved in your browser's local storage and a locale cookie, purely so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. These aren't used for tracking or analytics.
Contact Form
If you use the Contact Us page, the name, email address and message you submit are sent directly to our support inbox by email so we can reply to you. We keep that email only for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your request.
Analytics & Advertising
We may use services like Google Analytics or Google AdSense to understand site usage and show ads. These services can use cookies or similar technology to collect data such as your approximate location, device and browsing activity. This is separate from your audio files, which are never uploaded regardless of these services. If you'd like to control this, most browsers let you block cookies or use Google's Ads Settings to opt out of personalized advertising.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
